If you progress far enough in history without speaking with Blaidd, you can accidentally skip parts of his quest series. For example, if you make RANNI without taking Blaidd into the fogwheelruins, the quest series will go beyond this step, which means that you miss the Darriwil fight and other story beats. It is best to stay in touch with Blaidd regularly during the game.
1. Say with Blaidd in the fog waldruins
To start the Blaidd quest in Elden Ring, you have to meet him at the Mistwood ruins in Limgrave, where you hear a mysterious wolf howl. If you return to Merchant Kale in the Church of Elleh at the beginning of the game, he will teach you the gesture “finger snaps” and explain that they can summon the howling wolf in the fog forest. Return with unlocked gesture to the Mistwood ruins and use the fingering when you hear a howling to call Blaidd to your position. This sets the quest series in motion.
2. Defeat Darriwil with Blaidd at Forlorn Hound Evergaol
Blaidd will appear and tell you that he hunts for a man named Darriwil, who can be found in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Limgrave. The exact location can be found in the map below.
Give yourself to the Evergaol and summon Blaidd with the golden congress sign on the floor before starting the fight. With Blaidd on your side, Darriwil should light up slightly. If you have problems, read our Bloodhound Knight Darriwil Boss Guide. After Harriwil was killed, Blaidd will go to Ranni’s Rise in Liurnia. He invites you to come to him and find him, and tells them to find Blacksmith Iji on the way.
3. Meet Ranni at Ranni’s Rise
Ranni’s Rise is located in the Three Sisters, an area in Liurnia, which is only accessible via Caria Manor in the northwest of the map. After giving Caria Manor, you will find the Witch Ranni in Ranni’s Rise. If you agree to serve you, Rannis’s quest series starts and you can continue Blaidd’s story.
Ranni will introduce you to Seluvis, IJI and Blaidd. Make sure you speak with all and exploit all your dialogue options, otherwise you stay stuck in Ranni’s Rise until you do this. Blaidd will tell you that you should meet him next at the fountain of the Siofra River, which is located in the fog forest in Limgrave.
4. Find a wolf in the River River Well
The Siofra River Fountain is located near the small earth tree in the fog forest in Limgrave. It brings you among the Earth in the region of the Siofra River, where Blaidd is waiting for you. Blaidd is already deep in the zone, so you have to fight through Hallowthorn reasons before you can find it.
Once you have done it into the open area of the Siofra River, you will find Blaidd near the edge of the cliff. Further information can be found in our site guide for the Blaidd Siofra River. He will tell you that he is in your search for Nokron in a dead end, and he recommends you to return to the three sisters and ask SELUVIS for advice.
5. Say with Seluvis at Seluvis’s Rise
To return to the three sisters, you will find SELUVIS in Seluvis’ Srise, which should now be accessible to you. He will tell you that a sorceress called Sellen may have more information, and he asks her to bring her seluvis’ introduction as she will see her anyway.
6. Say with Sorcess Sells at Waypoint Ruins
Sampling Sellen can be found in the waypoint truins in Limgrave. You can see your exact location on the map below. You must enter the waypoint ruins Cellar and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head Boss to reach them, but this should be a simple fight for most players.
Sampling Sell will tell you that you have to defeat StarScourge Radahn to get access to Nokron, which is great, as Rajahn has another big rune for you anyway, which you can collect. With this information it is time to return to Blaidd.
7. Return to Blaidd in the Siofra River
Blaidd is still located in the same place in the river Siofra. When you return to him with this new trail, he tells you about a party that is held in a castle in Caelid, which turns around Radahn. There you can find him, so Blaidd is on the way and tells you that you should meet him there. The festival takes place on the redmäthenburg in the southern region of Caelid, so you have to go there.
8th. Defeat StarScourge Radahn
As soon as you arrive in Redmane Castle, you will find Blaidd and other NPCs like Alexander The Iron Fist in the yard near all the songs. Talk to the announcer to initiate the tight, and then the door opens to cycle boss fight. Radahn is an incredibly hard fight that will frustrate the most Elden Ring players, but you can use our cycle cheese strategy guide to defeat it with ease.
After the fight Blaidd will tell you that you should meet him, “where the shooting star has bitten the earth”. Since Radahn is not in the picture, a fallen star has created a massive crater in Limgrave near Fort Haight south of Mistwood. This crater leads to Nokron, the eternal city, so they are and Blaidd shortly before completing their search. However, Blaidd is nowhere to be found in Nokron when you arrive.
9. Return to Forlorn Hound Evergaol
Instead of going to Nokron, you have to return to Forlorn Hound Evergaol to continue Blaidd’s quest series. Here you fought in the game against Darriwil in the game. It is located in Limgrave south of the waypoint truins, and the nearest site of grace is Agheel Lake South. If you approach the center of Evergaol, you can talk to Blaidd. You also have the opportunity to open the Evergaol and free Blaidd what you should do if you want to continue the quest.
As soon as he is freed, Blaidd will tell you that he will see Ranni, but you can not follow him. Blaidd’s quest series is laid on ice for some time at this time, and you have to finish your work for Ranni before you can see him again. In the meantime, you can go to BlackSmith IJI to get a few additional information about Blaidd’s situation.
10. Close Rannis Quest series
Rannis Questrehe is extremely long and will lead them through the Lands Between, but at least they are about half of them at this time in the game. Just return to Nokron, Eternal City, and explore the region. As soon as you have found the fingerslayers blade, return to Ranni to continue the quest. From then on it’s pretty easy, but you have to finish the entire quest series before you can finish Blaidd’s story.
11. Return to Ranni’s Rise
After completing Rannis Quest series, it’s finally time to see your old friend. Return to Ranni’s Rise to find Blaidd one last time. Unfortunately, he will immediately be hostile to them, and there is no choice when killing him. If you defeat Blaidd, you will be rewarded with its royal great sword and his arms set. Although you do not receive the Wolfsmask, but you can view our Elden Ring Wolf Mask Guide to complete the look.
This is unfortunately everything for Blaidd in Elden Ring. His quest series is one of the best throughout the game, and considering how it consolidates with most major action strands of the game, most players will have at least one or two interactions with Blaidd The Half Wolf before the credits roll.
