Beetles, also known as spider-shaped, are enemies in StarShip Troopers – Terran Command. During an interview with Slitherinetv Twitch, Marco Marco Marketing Director A. Minoli declared that it was impossible to play for beetles. Rather, they will remain enemy units controlled by the game.
Many players can be disappointed, but Minoli said that there would be problems if he were not balanced. Developers received feedback on the complexity of the demo version issued in October 2021, and want the game to be balanced for the units of the Federation. Adding a different fraction would significantly increase this load.
Arazhnides were a much more dangerous opponent for human troops compared to other enemies with which they came across in the past. Arachnes possessed an infinitely large number of units, mobility on the terrain and the total tactics in the books. Errors should seem overwhelming to ensure that the game can remain loyal knowledge. Players that control the arachrooms against the federation would violate the balance.
