Destiny 2 Torch Rewards: Strike Scoring Guide for Guardian Games

The guard games are live again in Destiny 2 and the players can earn various torch rewards via the strike point system implemented for the event. As always, the three classes of Destiny 2 compete against each other in a friendly competition at the Guardian Games. Players can take part in special playlists to earn laurels and medallions that are needed to prevail against the other teams in the Guardian games.

This year’s Guardian Games offer the return of the strike scoring mode from the first Destiny, which enables players to fight for high scores in missions. There are three different playlists with activated strike scoring, but not all of them give the players what they need to get torch rewards from Eva Levant.

Destiny 2 Strike Scoring explained

Strike Scoring enables Vanguard Strikes and Nightfall missions to play in a score attack setup in which the three players try to score as many points as possible during one run. Strike scoring is unlocked by completing the best-in-class quest, the introductory quest for this year’s guards. There are several strike scoring playback lists that regularly rotate: leisure, training and competition.

guard games: leisure

The leisure playlist is always available. It is the normal Vanguard Ops play list, but with activated strike scoring. There are no rewards for this playlist, it is basically just the normal strike playlist with an activated new strike point system. It is good to get a feeling for things or for those who just don’t care about the guards and only want to receive their weekly rewards.

Here are the points milestones available in Guardian Games Playlists. Each milestone rewards with a one-week buff that only works in a guard game player.

Bronze: * 50,000 points
silver: 100,000 points
Gold: 150,000 points
* Platin: 175,000 points

Guardian games: Training

The training Playlist is only available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It is the equivalent to a night case that is set to the “legend” difficulty level with activated matchmaking. It contains the same scoring milestones as the recirational playlist. This is the mode you play to prepare for the essentials: competition.

Wächter games: competitive

The competitive mode is only available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. That is the only true 1. You will receive rewards based on the score that can reach your Fireteam. If you have played enough of the training playlist, you should prepare for what the Competitive Playlist has to offer.

How to earn torch rewards in Destiny 2

However, most players will want to get their torch rewards into their hands, and luckily that is easy. Torch rewards can only be obtained via the Guardian Games: Competitative Playlist, so you can only get them over the weekend if the playlist is available. If you try to get your rewards at an early stage, a message with the inscription “Torch lighting” is displayed.

If you are looking for a better throw for The Title SMG, this is probably the place where you can get 1. In the meantime, you can train leisure and training in the playlists to get used to the strike scoring mechanics.

Destiny 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Google Stadia.
